Chocolate Beetroot Smoothie Bowl
Ingredients: 1 portion
1 medium beetroot, cooked/steamed/you ma use raw beetroot as well
1/2 banana (fresh or frozen)
1/3 cup blueberries
1 scoop protein powder
1 tbs cacao powder
1/4 cup water
Granola/Muesli to Top up
OPTIONAL: Natural yogurt to add into bowl after blending
Method: Place all ingredients except granola and yogurt into the blender.
The trick is to use either a very good blender or use spatula and keep carefully pushing all the frozen chunky stuff to the bottom of the blender until it's nice and smooth.
You can also add splash of boiling water to help to blend it, but I like my smoothie bowls ice-cream like.
Top up with granola and/or grains of your choice.
I like to use raw buckwheat, puffed up millet or bran.
Swirl of Natural Yogurt will make this bowl even better.
